A note from your teacher

Jennifer Xue of StyleCareer.com

Hey! I'm glad you're here, and I want to be straight with you from the jump.

If you've spent any time in the vintage reselling world, you already know the advice online is all over the place. Half of it is "thrift for $3, flip for $300, easy money!" content that skips over everything that actually matters, like how to know a piece is worth $300 in the first place. The other half is vague enough to be useless. I built this school because I got tired of watching genuinely motivated people spin their wheels on bad information when there's a real, learnable craft underneath all of this.

And it is a craft. Dating a garment from its construction details and union label. Recognizing the quiet signs of a designer piece that doesn't announce itself. Knowing why one Levi's denim jacket is a $45 item and another is a $220 item, and being able to explain that to a buyer with confidence. That kind of knowledge takes time to build, but it doesn't have to take years of expensive trial and error. That's what this school compresses for you.

I designed the curriculum to mirror how a real vintage reselling business actually runs, not how it looks on a TikTok highlight reel. You'll start with the foundations that most people skip (the market, the eras, the business models), move into the hands-on skill-building (authentication, condition grading, pricing, photography, listing copy), and then into the operational and strategic layer (multi-platform management, AI tools, brand-building, scaling). Every section connects to the next because in a real shop, they all connect.

The AI piece is something I'm particularly excited about because it's changing the game fast and most resellers are either ignoring it or using it badly. I'll show you how to integrate AI tools into your sourcing research, comp hunting, listing creation, and photo editing in ways that save real time without sacrificing the authenticity that vintage buyers actually care about.

Here's the honest version of what I want for you: I want you to get to a place where you can walk into a thrift store, estate sale, or auction, pick up a garment, and have a clear, confident read on what it is, what it's worth, and whether it belongs in your shop. Everything else we cover is in service of that core skill, and the business that gets built around it. Come in curious, do the exercises, and you'll leave with more than knowledge — you'll leave with a workflow. Let's get into it.
